The age of credibility.
The 21st century is not the age of technology because everyone has technology. It is not the age of information because (barring some 3rd world inhabitants) everyone has information. What everyone does not have is credibility, so credibility is power. Don't believe me? Then obviously you won't do anything about what I said, won't protest, won't buy stocks or sell them, won't change your school your life, your job. So my use of technology and your receipt of information changed nothing. But if you believed me you might change your job, your life, even your country. So my power is nothing, but if I had credibility it might be everything. If I had credibility, I could stop wars or start them, feed the hungry or make them go without, get beautiful women or men, anything. One day they might realise that I was right to say this, and then I will have credibility. Hope it happens before I die.
